A RESTOCK IS COMING

August 8, 2026: We are moving our operations to our new facility in Georgia. Our bars will be back later this year. Unfortunately, we cannot say for sure exactly when. They will be better than ever, though. Thank you so much for bearing with us!

If you’re on our list, you will be the first to know when they are back.

Order Status

Help! I accidentally entered the wrong shipping address. Can you change it?

Depends how long it has been. We're ninjas at shipping orders fast but will do our best to grab it before it leaves the warehouse. Please reply back directly to your order confirmation email. They get bumped to the top of the queue.

Where's my order?

Orders ship within 24 hours, M-F. Search below to get your order status and tracking link.

If you used Express Checkout, you'll need to create a password to log in. You can do that on the login page.

Shipping

How long for my bars to arrive?

All orders ship from Utah and are processed within 24 hours, Monday- Friday. Your proximity and the day of the week you order will determine your shipping time. If you chose Economy shipping, orders typically arrive within 3-7 days, depending on your location, plus 1 business day to process your order. If you upgraded to Expedited shipping, it will be 2-3 days, plus 1 business day to process your order. Weekend orders will be processed on Monday.

My package got warm during transit. Does it matter?

The bars are very heat tolerant. They have been heated tested at 130 degrees for several hours, with no problems.
They will soften if they get hot enough. But they’ll revert to their previous form as soon as they cool off.

Do you cover delayed, lost, stolen, or damaged packages?

We do everything we can to ensure your order arrives safe and sound. However, once a package leaves our facility, unforeseen issues can occur—carriers may lose or misdeliver packages, or items can arrive damaged.

To provide peace of mind, we’ve partnered with Route Shipping Protection to offer optional shipping protection. This service is automatically added at checkout and offers a fast, hassle-free way to resolve issues if your package is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit.

Shipping insurance is offered at checkout.

If you opted in to Route Shipping Protection:

You’re covered! To file a claim, visit the Route Claims Center and enter your order number and email address. The process is quick, and most claims are resolved within hours.

Once your claim is submitted:

  • Resolution Options: You can choose a refund, replacement, or store credit during the claim process.

  • Processing: Route will initiate your selected resolution promptly. You’ll receive email updates throughout the process, including tracking information for replacements or confirmation details for refunds or credits.

  • Coverage: Reorders are fully covered, including shipping and taxes. If a replacement item is out of stock, Route will issue a refund instead.

Claim Deadlines:

  • Lost Packages: File between 7 and 30 days after the last tracking update (20–30 days for international shipments).

  • Stolen Packages: File between 5 and 30 days after the package is marked “delivered.”

  • Damaged Packages: File within 30 days of delivery.

If you opted out of Route Shipping Protection:

We will provide a replacement at cost, if you have reported your package as lost to the shipping carrier and it has not turned up within two weeks. This policy is necessary to protect our small business from the growing risk of consumer fraud.

Can I purchase shipping insurance after my order has shipped?

Unfortunately no. We wish we could but operationally there is no way to do it.

Is free shipping available?

Yes—when you order 4 or more boxes. That’s what most of our repeat customers do.

We know many brands offer free shipping on smaller orders. But because we use premium ingredients and produce in small batches, our costs are higher.

To stay sustainable as a small business, we can only offer free shipping on larger orders. Thanks for understanding.

What shipping carries do you use?

To get your order from Utah to you as quickly as possible, we use the fastest method available within your selected shipping tier (Standard Economy or Expedited). The carrier may vary based on your location and shipping choice.

We most often use DHL and USPS, but occasionally use FedEx or UPS. If you have a preference or concern about a specific carrier, please contact us before placing your order and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Do you offer temperature controlled shipping?

Yes, we do!

You can add it to your order here: https://shop.humanfoodbar.com/lectin-free-bars/temperature-controlled-shipping/

Most people do not need it as the bars are quite heat tolerant, but if you want to play it safe, we've got you.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only ship to the US and Canada.

Product

Where can I find the full nutrition info and ingredients?

This varies depending on the flavor. Go to the individual product pages for each flavor and review the gallery or scroll halfway down the page. You will find everything you're looking for.

Are the bars gluten free? Non-GMO verified? Organic? Kosher? Lectin free?

100% certified gluten free, non-GMO verified and lectin free. We are not organic or certified kosher, but the bars are kosher.

Do the bars have seed oils?

Nope!

What are natural flavors?

Natural flavors are derived from plant extracts, like essential oils, and serve to amplify the existing tastes in foods. A common example is vanilla.

These flavors are deemed Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the FDA. However, misconceptions arise due to concerns that some may not be as 'natural' as expected, could prompt allergic reactions in rare cases, or might involve chemical solvents.

Why, then, does Human Food Bar incorporate them?

Because the ones we use are perfectly safe and for 9/10 consumers, taste is king.

We are discerning our selection process and meticulously avoid contentious substances such as MSG, Diacetyl, Citral, Methyl N-Acetyl Anthranilate, and Castoreum.

Moreover, our natural flavors are free from solvents, preservatives, and other chemical additives, ensuring only the purest experience.

You might wonder about the specific flavors we use.

In the competitive landscape of nutrition bars, the exact natural flavors are closely guarded secrets, a practice not unique to us but common across the industry.

Our commitment, however, is to transparency where it counts: in the quality, safety, and integrity of our ingredients. Rest assured, every flavor enhancing your Human Food Bar has been chosen with your health and palate in mind.

Do the bars need to be refrigerated?

No. Our bars are designed to be stored at room temperature. Refrigerating them can extend shelf life, but most people don’t find it necessary.

It’s perfectly fine if the bars get warm. If they become hot, they may lose their shape but will regain it once they cool down. However, repeated exposure to high heat can degrade the flavor.

What is allulose and why is it healthy?

Our bars have even been endorsed by doctors and dieticians who recommend allulose as the best sugar substitute. Its ability to support blood sugar balance, provide prebiotic benefits, and deliver a delicious, natural sweetness makes it a standout ingredient and the perfect choice for health-conscious consumers.

Allulose is a naturally occurring “rare sugar” found in small amounts in fruits like figs and strawberries. The allulose in our bars is made from non-GMO corn (not corn syrup) and is molecularly identical to the allulose found in these fruits. It offers the same health benefits, regardless of its source.

As a prebiotic, allulose is absorbed in the small intestine but not metabolized for energy, so it does not cause blood sugar spikes. In fact, it has been shown to have a blood sugar-balancing effect, making it an excellent choice for those managing their metabolic health.

It also tastes great, with a clean, natural sweetness that’s far superior to sugar alcohols and artificial sweeteners, which often leave a bitter aftertaste or cause digestive discomfort.

There is some misinformation suggesting that allulose is banned in Europe and Canada. This is not true. Allulose is not banned—it simply has not yet been approved for use in those regions.

Regulatory bodies in Europe and Canada move more slowly than the U.S. when approving new ingredients, often requiring extensive evaluation. In the U.S., allulose is classified as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the FDA and is widely available.

Safety Profile

Allulose is not just safe, it’s been shown in clinical studies to support several key aspects of metabolic health.

Allulose is a rare sugar that naturally occurs in small amounts in fruits like figs, raisins, and jackfruit. Unlike regular sugar, it has virtually no calories and does not spike blood sugar or insulin levels.

Multiple human trials have confirmed its safety, even at doses up to 25 grams per day, with no adverse effects on blood markers, inflammation, or digestion. Longer-term studies (12 to 48 weeks) have found additional health benefits:

  • Improved blood sugar control in both healthy and diabetic individuals.

  • Reduced body fat and waist circumference in overweight adults.

  • Better liver function in those with non-alcoholic fatty liver indicators.

The FDA has granted allulose GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status, and it is exempt from being counted as “added sugar” on nutrition labels. It’s also well tolerated at common dietary levels, with minimal risk of digestive upset when consumed below ~0.4 g/kg per serving.

Bottom line: Allulose is more than just safe—it’s a rare sweetener with clinically supported health benefits for blood sugar, weight, and liver health.

Discount Codes

Why isn't my discount code working?

The most common reasons are:

  1. It was time limited and your code is expired
  2. You’re an existing customer trying to apply a new customer discount
  3. You’re trying to apply a code to a subscription
  4. You’re trying to apply two codes to one order

Keep scrolling for more information on each of these scenarios.

Why is there a limit on my discount code?

Some sales promotions have limits so that we don't lose money on them. Typically, this is indicated when the code is presented, but you might have missed it. Our bars are expensive to make and we have slim margins. Capping discounts is necessary for our business to be sustainable.

I’m a returning customer—why isn’t my discount code working?

We really appreciate your loyalty! We occasionally offer 10% off to returning customers, but our 20% discount is reserved for first-time buyers only.

That offer puts us at break-even, and we can only afford to do it once—to help get people in the door. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to keep the business sustainable.

If you received an email with a discount code anyway, it is most likely because we have multiple email addresses for you in the system, and only one is associated with a customer account.

Feel free to unsubscribe that email address, but be sure to subscribe the email associated with your customer account instead. Otherwise, you will miss out on promos you do qualify for. Subsribe here

Can I apply two discount code to one order?

Sorry, no. Otherwise we'd lose money.

Can I apply discount codes to subscriptions?

Nope. Because they're already discounted, and we'd lose money.

Can I apply rewards points to subscriptions?

Sorry, no. Subscriptions are already discounted and adding rewards disconts on top would mean we would lose money on some purchases. We just can't.
Hopefully you can appreciate the 10% discount you are getting rather than focussing your attention on missing out on the addtional 1% you'd get by applying rewards points.

Miscellaneous

Can I buy HFB in stores?

Sorry, but we're not in stores. These bars are quite expensive to make and selling them directly to you is the best way to keep prices down. All stores take a big cut.

What's your return policy and how do I initiate one?

Return & Refund Policy

Eligibility for Returns:

Please note that we cannot restock opened items. As a result, we accept returns under specific conditions:

  • If you purchase multiple boxes of different flavors, you can return them for a full refund provided only one box has been opened. All other boxes must remain unopened and in like-new condition.
  • If all boxes have been opened, we can only issue a refund for one box.

Sampling Before Buying:

  • To explore different flavors without committing to full-size boxes, we recommend purchasing our sampler trial pack.

Return Time Frame:

  • Due to the perishable nature of our bars, returns must be mailed within 30 days of receipt.

Shipping Costs:

  • Customers are responsible for covering the costs of return shipping. As our food products cannot be restocked, returning items results in a significant loss for us. We will donate the unopened bars to charity. We appreciate your understanding.
  • Due to the amount of money we lose on returns, refunds will be for merchandise only and do not include your initial shipping costs.

How to Process a Return:

  1. Reach out to us providing your name, email, order number, and reason for return.
  2. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and our return address.
  3. Pack the remaining bars and include a copy of the receipt inside the box. Make sure the RMA number is clearly written on the receipt.
    • You can use the packing slip that came with your order. If you misplaced it, simply print the receipt we emailed you post-purchase.
